Proposal of the project titled “Presentation through projection mapping ”

Short Description of Idea  

I have a plan to use specialized software to capture the shape of various icebergs, glaciers, mountains and sceneries of nature and then project animated graphics and images at night. I will make video and photographs of the projections and plot them on surface.

Objective:

>>To remind people beauty of nature as people are moving away from the nature and their only concern is how to make world better but they are damaging nature badly .i want people to realize the true beauty of nature that is why I am blending technology and nature as people now a days only understand technology that is why I am using projection technology. This project can be extended for 3D animation presentation of different projects.

>>It can also be used academically ,where the 3D presentation of different objects can be represented for better understanding of working of objects.

Proposal Details:

 Background and Research:

Projection mapping is a rising field that uses specialized software to create a 3D model of an object and then modifies a video so that projected image is shaped to fit the object. I feel that I can use nature to convey the message without causing any harm to the natural environment.

 Execution:

 I will work with glaciers and icebergs .I will select the best sites for my capture, scan the photographs and then modify my animations to fit the surfaces. At night, i will use high-powered projectors and portable battery systems to project my animations.

 Exhibition:

 For the exhibition, I have planned to create 7 video displays, vertically mounted, side-by-side in the gallery space.

Special safety concerns with the proposal:

To project and film my project, I will need to take a small boat nearer to the icebergs at night. I hope that One Ocean can help me with this. similarly there will be some people near the nature projection part giving the impact of how nature is soothing them mentally and physically .

Ideas for fund raising:

Now a days it’s is emerging trend that If you have any creative idea and then if you propose your idea to any bank they will give you loan on basis of which you can start your project. I have also got loan from bank.

Budget and Materials:

Most of my needed equipment is available from home departments— engineering. I will need a laptop, a projector, a battery pack, and software. No additional money is needed. For the exhibition, i will require seven video screens.

It's my pleasure to introduce myself to you. My name is Amna Rauf Butt.I was born and raised in Jauharabad .I spent my entire childhood there now when i think of my childhood i feel that i really had a cute childhood now we have grown up and everything has changed i wish i could have  that time back Anyways I started my school at age of 4 .I was an average student and a little bit careless about studies i think that was because of charms of childhood but  now I have realized that today where I am standing is just because of my parents and teachers .indeed there is a great role of my teachers in building my personality. I enjoyed at school but time flew by so fast and I passed H.S.S.C. I got admission in UET Taxila in 2013.I think it was my luck that brought me here. I never knew that one day I will be doing Engineering i was interested in computers from the start .I used to spend most of my time in front of my pc and i kept changing its properties sometimes the changes could not be recovered and sometimes worst things happened to my pc “poor pc..” but at that time i had no idea that one day i will be actually learning about it  now i am a student of 5th semester of  bsc. computer engineering  .i am living in hostel away from my parents and siblings and now I am realizing their importance in my life .it is hard to be far away from them but through this experience I am developing a sense of independence .it is teaching me to live on my own but life at university is great there is a lot to learn, to explore and to experience.

Now coming to my abilities .my abilities are that i can hard work to achieve my targets in time. i have a positive attitude . I am a good listener and quick learner and I like to take challenges in life. My hobbies are playing games ,watching movies and cartoons  and car racing ,programming .

First Day of 5th Semester

I went to university and met my all class fellows it was great to meet them after such a long time but unfortunately we did not have much time for gossiping because we had to perform the lab  and lab time was going really slow because we desperately wanted to talk to each other. After that we had one more class of bcrw.by luck we went to the class earlier and ma’am Tehmina was there but no other student had arrived yet so we got into a little chit chat with ma’am Tehmina but soon our class fellows  came and ma’am had to start the lecture. We had a great time.
